Tehran (IP)- On the fifth anniversary of the formation of the historic agreement of JCPOA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in his recent tweet called it as the "last decade's greatest diplomatic achievement criticizing Donald Trump's administration over unlawful behavior toward it.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohammad Javad Zarif in his latest tweet released on Tuesday said " Today is 5th and. of the #JCPOA—last decade’s greatest diplomatic achievement—and a reminder that US lawless behavior should not be the yardstick by which international norms are measured."

US contempt for law and diplomacy places it in global disrepute and threatens global—and US—security, Zarif concluded.

Following the US' withdrawal from the JCPOA and the failure of the three European signatories to the agreement (Germany, Britain, and France) to honor their commitments, in early July, the EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said he had received a letter from Iran that demanded to trigger the JCPOA's dispute resolution mechanism.

Borrell added that the letter written by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined Iran's concerns regarding implementation issues on the part of France, Germany, and Britain to the Joint Commission of the deal for resolution through the dispute process set out in the agreement's Paragraph 36.
