Iran, India plan to develop rail, road transport

Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iranian Trade Development Organization and the Indian ambassador in Tehran discussed the development of rail and road transportation, the expansion of regional cooperation, and the continuation of trade talks.

Iran Press/Iran News: During the meeting, Hamid Zadboom and Gaddam Dharmendra discussed the development of relations in new areas, the expansion of regional cooperation with Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the holding of a joint trade committee meeting, the strengthening of relations between chambers of commerce and the diversification of trade between the two countries.

The establishment of trade exchanges, facilitation of Iran's trade in India and the holding of the fourth meeting of the Joint Trade Committee were also emphasized, and it was decided to prepare for the sixth round of preferential trade agreements between the two countries as soon as possible and to hold talks via video conference.

Gaddam Dharmendra, India's ambassador to Tehran, also stressed India's commitment to strengthening and developing relations with Iran, noting that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
