Although too late to announce, the UN confessed the US' assassination of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani was a violation of international law, the Spokesman for Iran's Guardian Council said.

Iran PressIran News: In his press conference on Saturday, Abbas Ali Kadkhodaei said in response to a question of Iran Press on the latest follow-ups over General Soleimani's assassination case and said the relevant authorities in Iran's foreign ministry are pursuing the case. 

Kadkhodaei made the remarks that the UN official's confession on the US' assassination of Iran's General Soliemani is worthwhile to consider, given that the US act was against international law and international body.

The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US drone attack in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as well as eight companions.  207/216
