1,455 of the new patients were hospitalized, she said.
The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours,142 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 12,447 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
The official stated, "3,319 patients are in intensive care units."
So far, around 1,922,501 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Ilam, West, and East Azerbaijan, and Khorasan Razavi are in the red situation.
The provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Alborz, Kerman, Yazd, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hamedan and Ardabil are on alert.
