On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance forces launched a surprise operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of Tel Aviv, and the Israeli regime, in order to retaliate and compensate for its defeat and stop the resistance operations, closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and This area is being bombarded.
According to Iran press quoting Al Jazeera TV channel, Riyad Mansour, the representative of Palestine in the United Nations, said at the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly about the developments in the Palestinian territories and the war against Gaza:
"Israel has martyred 3,000 children and about 1,700 women since October 7.
Mansour stated: "The occupying regime has martyred about 7 thousand Palestinians during the past two weeks, 70 percent of whom are women and children."
Pointing out that the hospitals in Gaza have turned into morgues and refrigerators to keep the martyrs and everyone is waiting for humanitarian aid, the representative of Palestine in the United Nations stated: "900 Palestinian children are still under the rubble caused by the attacks of the Zionist occupation."
Stating that Israel has destroyed more than 40% of the buildings and houses in the Gaza Strip and displaced one million four hundred thousand Palestinians, Mansour added: "Even the holy places, places of worship and UNRWA schools were not spared from the attacks of the occupying regime."
The representative of Palestine in the United Nations added that a thousand Palestinians are martyred every day due to the war crimes of the occupiers, a war that cannot be justified in any way.
Mansour called for respecting all international laws and not violating them and said:" The bombing of Gaza must be stopped."
The number of martyrs in Gaza since October 7 has reached 7,28 people, of which 2,913 are children.
