Iran Press/ Iran news: On Monday evening, Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, in a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who has traveled to Tehran to participate in the meeting of the Caucasus Cooperation Group, while welcoming the solution to the Caucasus issues by the countries of the region, called the intervention of outsiders a crisis and expressed hope that the results of the Tehran meeting would lead to the strengthening of security, stability and peace in the region and the resolution of differences between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Referring to the will of the two countries to improve the level of cooperation, especially economic cooperation, Raisi stated: “Iran is determined to implement bilateral agreements and emphasizes speeding up and facilitating their implementation”.
In response to the Russian Foreign Minister's statement that "even in a regional meeting, one cannot be indifferent to the current events in Gaza and the violation of the rights of defenseless people", Raisi noted: “What is happening in Gaza is a terrible crime against innocent women and children that is taking place with the direct and official support of America and other western countries”.
Raisi added, “Today the US is trying to achieve what it failed to get in supporting the Israeli regime and securing its racist interests by passing a resolution in the UN Security Council.
Raisi, also, stated: “The nations and free people of the world hope that Russia will prevent the realization of the intentions of the US considering its position and influence in the Security Council as well as in the international arena”.
In this meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, while emphasizing Russia's adherence to the implementation of all its agreements and cooperation with Iran in the economic, commercial, transportation, cultural and energy fields, said that Participating in the 3+3 meeting in Tehran is a manifestation of Russia's regional cooperation with Iran.
Russian top diplomat noting that the development of cooperation between the countries of the region can ensure the interests and development of all of them stated: “In today's meeting, it was emphasized that the issues of the region should be resolved without the interference of outsiders." 219
