Iran Press/ Iran News: Deputy Justice Minister for Human Rights and Civil Liberties Mahmoud Abbasi announced Iran is ready to swap prisoners with other countries, including Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Referring to the release of 3,000 Taliban prisoners by the Afghan government on Friday, the Deputy Justice Minister for Human Rights and Civil Liberties Mahmoud Abbasi, said that Iran is ready to transfer Pakistani prisoners to their country.
"We hope that they will hand over their prisoners as soon as possible," Abbasi added.
Iran's foreign ministry says less than 3,000 Iranians are imprisoned for various crimes in other countries.
Expressing concern over the situation of Iranian prisoners in the United Arab Emirates, the Iranian Deputy Justice Minister for Human Rights and Civil Liberties said, "Unfortunately, our prisoners in UAE prisons are deprived of minimum human rights, including consular services and fair trials, and the continuation of the current situation doubles the legal and international responsibility of UAE's government."
According to Iran's foreign ministry, less than 3,000 Iranians are imprisoned for various crimes in other countries. 212/207
