Tehran (IP) - Deputy of the Judiciary and Secretary of the Supreme Council for Human Rights, Ali Baqeri Kani, said that the judiciary would not be silent on the violation of the individual and collective rights of the Iranian people and would use all its legal capacities to restitution of rights of Iranian companies.

Iran PressIran News: During a meeting with French Ambassador to Tehran Philippe Thiebaud on Saturday, Ali Baqeri Kani criticized the unilateral cancellation of European companies' contracts with Iran.

Emphasizing the need for Europeans to take responsibility for their commitment to Iran, the secretary added: "The root of the West's confrontation with the Iranian nation over the past four decades is Iran's belief in and adherence to the rights of its people."

The Secretary of the Supreme Council for Human Rights also referred to the recent uprisings in the West against the United States and said that the ongoing mass protests in the US and its extension to European countries indicate the fundamental weaknesses of liberalism in the field of human rights.
