Tehran (IP)- Iran's missile power has become one of the Islamic Republic's greatest achievements in military technologies and defense capabilities, dating back to the era of the imposed war. These missiles possess several notable advantages, including the ability to evade detection by high-tech radars, enabling them to bypass anti-missile systems.

The radar cross-section (RCS) determines an object's detectability by radar, and a higher value indicates greater visibility to radar. Moreover, new anti-ship missiles often employ small turbofan engines, which minimize heat radiation from the missile and make them less susceptible to targeting by anti-missile systems.

Taking into account these advantages, Iran has been diligently working towards enhancing its cruise missile production capabilities, particularly in the area of anti-ship cruise missiles, for the past three decades. Among these formidable weapons is the Qadir missile, renowned for its impressive range and accuracy against enemy vessels.

The CM-300 Qadir missile is widely deployed in coastal launchers and naval combat ships due to its remarkable range of up to 300 kilometers. Weighing 700 kilograms and featuring a 165-kilogram warhead, this missile utilizes an inertial guidance system during its initial phase and switches to active radar guidance for its final phase. The missile receives the position of sea targets from radars and moves towards them using an internal guidance system or inertia based on the accelerometer and gyroscope. After reaching the target, the missile locks onto it while being guided in the form of an active radar.

The cruise missile is an Anti-ship Missile type, which possesses special capabilities such as long-range, high hit accuracy, and immense destructive power. It also has the ability to counter electronic warfare. This missile belongs to the category of cruise and mid-range missiles and is considered a subcategory of a new generation of cruise missiles.

The Qadir missile can fly at a height of less than 15 meters and has the capability to detect, track, and destroy targets within a radius of 300 kilometers. It can be launched from coastal launcher systems, sea-based launcher systems like various vessels, and air-based systems such as helicopters. This versatility is one of the advantages of the Qadir missile in effectively hitting targets. It is an upgraded type of missile that distinguishes itself from others like Noor and Qader in terms of range, accuracy, and power.Qadir, similar to other Iranian cruise missiles, possesses the capability to launch from both land and sea, as well as from various types of ships and helicopters. Like its counterparts Noor and Qader, this missile is equipped with an inertial guidance system during the initial phase and a radar guidance system in the subsequent phase.

Regarding the specifications of the CM-300 Qadir missile, it boasts a minimum range of 15 km and a maximum range of 300 km. It has a diameter of 360 mm and weighs approximately 770 kg. The utilization of a turbojet engine enables this missile to cover greater distances, thereby enhancing its ability to detect and target objectives.

Given its structure, this missile necessitates an initial speed since the turbojet engine alone cannot generate sufficient velocity to launch and separate the missile from its launcher upon firing. A solid fuel booster is used to address this requirement, which detaches from the rocket after fulfilling its purpose.
