Tehran ( IP) - An earthquake of magnitude 4 struck the 'Gerd Kashaneh' city in Piranshahr county at West Azerbaijan province on Monday at a depth of 6 km, Iranian Seismological Center reported.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the earthquake occurred at 09:59:48 local time.

Gerd Kashaneh is a city of Lajan district located at Piranshahr county in West Azerbaijan.

The epicenter of the quake appears to be at 45.34 N and 36.86 E.

There was no immediate information on casualties or damage from the quake, which felt in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province.
