Trump acknowledges economic stagnation in US

The US president said the economy was in a state of recession due to the outbreak of coronavirus, and it would take 10 years for it to return to normal.

Iran Press/America: Donald Trump added in a press conference on Friday 5 June said that he will take steps to reopen the country's economy.

Despite the continued number of the American people contracting the coronavirus and their deaths, which till now stands at 

more than 1.93 million and 111.338 deaths, the US president claimed: "the United States has passed the coronavirus pandemic, Americans are returning to their jobs and the economy is recovering rapidly."

In another part of his speech, Trump said that today was a good day for the United States because the unemployment rate in this country has dropped to 13.3 percent.

Donald Trump also said: "It was thought that the United States would lose more job opportunities, but the opposite happened, and next year will be a much better year."

These remarks were made by Trump while available news and data indicate that more than 40 million jobs have been lost since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States in March, and unemployment has risen sharply in the country.
