Gachsaran (IP) - The pastures and the forests of Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Southwestern Iran have caught fire since Friday May 22, 2020.

Iran PressIran news: The fire in Khami Mountain and Khang Bonar Mountain in Gachsaran is being completely contained with the efforts of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, the army, and the voluntary forces.

Two Islamic Revolution Guard Corps sprinkler helicopters are responsible for transferring water from Kowsar Dam to the scene of the fire, and two Iranian Army helicopters have been carrying out operations to the heights and the location of the Gachsaran forests and pastures.

Vahid Mohammadi-Tabar, director-general of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Natural Resources, said: "More than 150 hectares of pastures and forests in Gachsaran caught fire in the fire incident."
