The Saudi government's austerity plan to deal with the financial crisis it faces has led to dissatisfaction and concern among Saudi citizens.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Saudi Minister of Economy announced on Monday that due to countering the Coronavirus outbreak, as of the July 1s, the value-added tax will increase from 5 percent to 15 percent and subsidies are cut off.

Declaring their dissatisfaction with the austerity measures, Saudi citizens and activists warned about the occurrence of a serious catastrophe among a major part of people in the country.
