Tehran (IP) - The US and its officials' lies have broken record in the world and it is not a new matter to discuss, Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi said.

Iran PressIran News: In response to Iran Press's question regarding Switzerland's confirmation that no humanitarian aid has been exchanged via alleged US channel for delivering medicine and medical equipment to Iran and US claim that medicine has not been sanctioned, the Iranian official said, "The US and its officials' lies have broken record in the world so it is not a new matter to discuss even some are counting the US and Trump's lies."

The US government claimed on January 30 that it had successfully completed transactions for the benefit of Iranian medical patients using a payment mechanism through Switzerland that bypasses the Iranian government. Designed to get humanitarian exports to the Iranian people, the system ensures no revenue or payment is transferred to Iran, the Treasury Department said in a news release on January 30.

"Switzerland's confirmation reveals the US' lies in this regard so there is no doubt for other countries to be well aware of US intention.", Raisi underlined.

While the whole world is grappling with the COVID-19, and thousands of people have lost their lives, there is no logic behind imposing severe sanctions on a country, even those Iranians living abroad are not allowed to send their aid to their compatriots, Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi stated.

Elsewhere Iran's Deputy Health Minister stressed that since Iran is under sanctions it even could not swift and transit its own money blockaded in other countries, and the US claim regarding a humanitarian-aid channel to send medical supplies is not true, he said.
