Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Interior Minister announced that the second round of parliamentary elections will be held in September.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking on the sidelines of the second conference of Iranian provincial governors-general attended by Iran's Minister of Interior Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli, Jamal Orf said that the second round of parliamentary elections will be held in September, adding that the 11th parliament will be formed next month.

"To assess the latest situation in the country and decide on important issues, we held two meetings with the governors as a commission. A number of governors were present in each commission, and the most important issues were discussed," the Deputy Interior Minister said.

Referring to coronavirus's economic impacts on society, Orf said: "So far, the government has made important decisions for economic problems which will be implemented quickly."

In the end, he said: "The stock market is an opportunity to use the capacity of the people and their participation in the national economy. Of course, the economy is not the subject of the Ministry of Interior and it only enters as coordinator."

The first round of the 11th parliamentary elections was held on Feb 21, 2020, and those who failed to win a majority have to face off in a the second round of elections.
