Tehran (IP) - Advisor to Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Baqeri Kani in a meeting with the representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Alexander Fedolov said, “A country that hinders Iran's fight against drugs is a partner of the drug mafia.”

Iran Press/Iran news: Baqeri Kani added, “The obstruction of some Western countries in Iran's access to hardware and software equipment to combat drug trafficking means that these countries not only do not intend to seriously fight the production and distribution of drugs in the world but also are the partners of the drug mafia.”

“Iran's expectation is that the United Nations will not be indifferent to the lives of Iranian soldiers and will not remain silent in the face of sanctions imposed by the United States and some European countries on counter-narcotics equipment,” he added.

During the meeting, Alexander Fedolov also said, “I testify that the best measures taken in the fight against drugs in the world are being implemented in Iran, and we should appreciate Iran in this regard.”
