Bandar Abbas (IP) - Iran’s Persian Gulf Star Refinery (PGSR) managing Director announced that the refinery's processing capacity is going to reach 480,000 barrels per day by the end of September 2020.

Iran Press/Iran News: The PGSR Managing Director Mohammad-Ali Dadvar said that with the increase in refining capacity, the number of manufactured products will increase by 20 percent.

"Currently, an average of 45 million liters of gasoline and 17 million liters of gas oil are produced daily in this refinery," he explained. 

Mohammad-Ali Dadvar went on to add that by increasing the refining capacity, the production amount of gasoline and gas oil would increase to about 54 and 20 million liters per day, respectively. 

Construction of Iran’s Persian Gulf Star Refinery started in 2006, and the third phase was commissioned in 2018.
