Iran, UNIDO and Japan cooperate to expand fishery in Chabahar

The signing ceremony of the five joint projects of cooperation between Japan and UNIDO was held in Vienna at the headquarters of the organization, attended by UNIDO Director-General, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of Japan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa and Uganda.

Iran Press/ Europe: The signing ceremony of the five joint projects for cooperation between Japan and UNIDO was held in Vienna at the headquarters of this organization, attended by UNIDO Director-General, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of Japan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa and Uganda.

According to this document, the joint cooperation project of the Islamic Republic of Iran, UNIDO and Japan is set to launch as the third phase of fishery industry development in Chabahar at a cost of 180 Thousand Euros.

Previously, phases 1 and 2 of the project were completed at a cost of 680 Thousand Euros which all were financed by the Japanese government.

Kazem Gharib Abadi, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Vienna, also delivered a speech, while emphasizing the strategic position of Chabahar, he pointed to the Chabahr port as the center of development in the country by playing a major role in expanding transit routes between countries of the North Indian Ocean and Central Asia.

The Permanent Representative of Iran also emphasized the importance of international cooperation for sustainable development of countries in order to address the challenges of economic development through the exchange of knowledge and experience, technology transfer, capacity building, as well as eliminating restrictions and illegal sanctions.
