Iran Press/Iran news: The chairman of the Iranian election commission, Jamal Orf reiterated what the Leader of the Islamic Revolution had said earlier, namely that casting a vote in the elections is a general jihad and that everyone should participate in it.
"The Ministry of Interior has provided all the necessary preparations for a busy election, and all of our branches are active throughout the country, and so far all but a few branches are operating online," Orf said.
He went on to say: "We as the organiser and supervisor of the election and observers in the Guardian Council are monitoring the election so far, and we have not had any problems, and I hope that this will be the case by the end of the voting hours."
