Iran Press/Iran News: On the sideline of Wednesday cabinet session, Iran's Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei underlined the importance of elections and democracy in the country.
Rabiei referred to the upcoming elections in the country and said: "Having a ballot box-oriented system in Iran guarantees the stability of our country. This is what guarantees the stability of Iran's development and progress."
He added: "We have had regular elections during the 40 years of our revolution. Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace) also laid the foundations of a ballot box-oriented system of religious democracy at the beginning of the Islamic revolution."
