Iran Press/ Iran news: The forum on the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory kicked off on Monday morning in Tehran with foreign guests in attendance.
Senior Adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Akbar Velayati delivered a key-note speech in the forum.
Ali Akbar Velayati congratulated the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (R.A) and said: "Four decades have passed since the Islamic Revolution of Iran and today we can clearly see the great results and achievements inside the country, in the region and the world."
He further noted, "Today, thanks to the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and according to statistics of international centers, Iran is one of the fastest-growing countries in the world in terms of science and technology growth.
"Iran's scientific growth rate is 11 times higher than the world average. Increasing scientific output, advances in nanomaterials, stem cells, nuclear technology, aerospace, and medical drugs are just some of the gains of the revolution in the field of science," Velayati stressed.
"In the political arena, independence in decision-making, preservation of the country's territorial integrity, free elections, independence in foreign policy and bringing Iran to dignity have made our country which is a religious democratic system one of the most democratic countries in the world," Senior Adviser to the Leader of Islamic Revolution added.
He further referred to the economic and social achievements, adding, "Economically and socially, the Islamic Revolution has made great strides despite 40 years of sanctions. These include the promotion of social justice and the equitable distribution of wealth and the creation of economic infrastructure. In fact, our Islamic Revolution has made Muslims and freedom-seekers of the world, hopeful."
