Iran Press/Asia: The commemoration event was participated by the poets and poetesses who had written their poems about the daughter of the Holy Prophet of Islam (SA) as well as Martyred Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis with Leader's representative in the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali-Akbar Ojaghnejad in attendance.
Iran's senior cleric during the event discussed the braveries of Martyr Soleimani in defeating ISIS as well as fighting against the US plots. During the event, the winners of cultural artistic competitions received their awards.
A heart touching clip about martyr Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was displayed during the ceremony which was applauded by the audience.
The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US air-raid in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and 8 companions.
