Iranian chess champion Pouya Idani refuses to play with Israeli rival

Iranian chess player and international grandmaster Pouya Idani refused to play with his Israeli rival.

The Gibraltar International Chess Festival 2020 has started on Tuesday, January 3 and runs over nine rounds through January 30th.

The 18th edition of the tournament is underway, as usual, at the Caleta Hotel in Gibraltar, with 240 players in the Masters' tournament, including nearly 100 grandmasters.

Iran's four chess players are present at The Gibraltar International Chess Festival 2020.

Earlier, in full support of the oppressed people of Palestine, other Iranian chess players have also not accepted to play with those rivals who represented the child-killer Zionist regime.
