Iran Press/Iran news: Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari in his remarks on the sideline of the first conference on Police Role in Economic Security and Production Boom said that the police are also duty-bound to support producers by maintaining their security and would not let any goods smugglers crack the country's economy.

Iran's police chief said, "One of the important matters today that must be addressed is economy. A matter which has obsessed people's minds and they want it to be sorted out."

"The enemy has targeted our economy and it has waged an economic war against our country and our people. Of course, some administrative inefficiencies by managers in the economic sector are triggering the case," Ashtari added.

He added that the police are duty-bound to maintain the security and pave the way for economic activists and producers.

Ashtari stated that in addition to military and political commanders, we have also economic commanders.

"With the Islamic Republic of Iran, its elites and the young generation, all the problems are solvable," he made the remark.
