Iran Press/Middle East: The embassy's statement says US attacks on al-Hashd al-Shaabi base are a flagrant violation of Iraqi national sovereignty and within the framework of US government intervention in the internal affairs of the region for the interest of the Israeli regime.
Referring to al-Hashd al-Shaabi's key role in the defeat of the ISIS terrorist group in Iraq, the statement said, "The world knows that the US troops in the region pursue their hegemonic and arrogant goals."
The statement by the Iranian Embassy in Iraq emphasized that US intervention in Iraq comes at a time when senior US officials, with hypocrisy, are demanding that other countries not interfere in Iraqi internal affairs.
Last night, the US aircraft bombed an al-Hashd al-Shaabi base, killing several of its forces.
In this regard, the Iraqi religious authorities issued a statement strongly condemning the US action. 205/219
