The Prime Minister of Japan officially welcomed Iran's President Hassan Rouhani on Friday at Prime Minister's Palace of Japan.

Iran PressAsia: After the national anthems of both countries were played, President Rouhani and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe took part in a pass in review of the honor guards and introduced their accompanying delegations to each other.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, Rouhani and Shinzo Abe met privately, and joint talks were held by high-level delegations.

Shinzo Abe will also host a dinner in President Rouhani's honor and his accompanying delegation.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the Summit of the heads of states of Muslim countries in Malaysia before traveling to Japan. 207
