Tehran (IP) - Syria's Public Works and Housing Minister said that Iran and his country signed an agreement to rebuilding Syria.

Iran Press/Iran news: Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing Suhail Mohammad Abdul Latif in an interview with Iran Press on Tuesday stated that an agreement between Iran's Road and Urban Development and Syria's Public Works and Housing Ministries was signed during two days.

Abdul Latif added: "We discussed rebuilding Syria with Iran's cooperation. There is a firm and strong political ties between Tehran and Damascus."

He added that the signed agreement has two stages. At the first stage, construction of residential buildings will take place, and in the second phase, the joint establishment of construction and engineering companies will take place to rebuild Syria.

"Besides holding core meetings, we have held numerous other meetings with engineering and Commerce chamber associations, discussing reconstruction projects in Syria," Suhail Mohammad Abdul Latif added.
