Larijani, who is visiting the Vietnamese capital for parliamentary cooperation, paid tribute to Vietnam's leader, Ho Chi Minh, upon his arrival in Hanoi.
He also met with the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
Larijani, told reporters before leaving Tehran that the main objective of his two nation tour of Vietnam and Sri Lanka is to expand Iran's cooperation with the two countries, in various fields, including parliamentary ties.
A number of Iranian Members of Parliament are accompanying Ali Larijani on this trip.
