Iran has 450 projects with worlds universities

Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Mansour Gholami, said that 450 joint projects are already underway between universities of Iran and the world.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a meeting with Venezuela's Minister of Science and Technology Gabriela Survilia Ramirez on Thursday in Tehran, Mansour Gholami said: "450 joint projects are underway between universities of Iran and the world."

"We understand the situation in Venezuela very well, and we know that imperialist countries like the US do not hesitate to bully other nations," Gholami said, referring to some problems in Venezuela.

According to Gholami, independence in decision-making is a God-given right for all human beings and no one can deny the right.

Gholami noted that the will of nations is very important in this regard, and those people who dominate their destiny will certainly win.

Referring to some of the problems caused by sanctions in Iran, the Minister of Science stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has very valuable experience in dealing with sanctions. Fortunately, despite sanctions and external pressure, Iran has been able to carry out domestic affairs without the need for the United States, relying on its scientific and human capacities."

Gholami went on to refer to Iran's readiness for scientific and international communications, saying: "Iran shares its knowledge with other countries without any expectation and now these collaborations are visible at different levels. There are currently more than 450 joint projects between universities of Iran and the world, and our good experience is that Ph.D. students are doing part of their dissertation research abroad. This will cause students' acquaintance with different universities and the involvement of foreign professors and researchers in doctoral dissertations of students. It also establishes scientific links between them."

"Now, Iran ranks 15 in the world in terms of scientific output, while in some other fields such as aerospace and biotechnology, its ranking is far better," he further added.
