The commander of Iran's border police said on Saturday that the weapons poured into the Middle East by US and other trans-regional powers have brought only a feeling of insecurity to the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: The peoples of the region are unhappy about what the US and other powers have done, Brigadier-General Ghasem Rezaee said in a meeting with the Sunni Friday Prayers leader of Kish Island, Yaghoub Shams.

In further remarks, Brigadier-General Rezaee said the United Nations has not been able to do its commitments; that’s why Iran wants the international body to come to the borders and listen to what people say.

According to an Iran Press report, the Brigadier-General asked: "How long the countries of the region intend to serve the US and pay for their expenses?"

Brigadier-General Rezaee also said the countries of the Persian Gulf should awaken because the arrogant powers bring only insecurity for the people of the country they set foot in. He pointedly added: "Iran's security is the fruit of long-established cooperation between the border guards and the border settlers."

For his part, the Friday Prayers leader of Kish Island emphasized that cooperation with security forces, including border guards, is like "worshiping Allah" and is a religious duty. He said the security of society is more essential than even advancement or power. He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran belongs to all the Iranian people, and its honor is the honor of the people." 101/211
