The 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement's heads of states officially kicked off by inaugural statement read out by Venezuela's president Nicol?s Maduro in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Friday morning.

 Iran Press/Asia: President Hassan Rouhani, taking part in the summit at the official invitation of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, will deliver a keynote speech at the meeting to elaborate on Iran's viewpoints on regional and international issues including implementation of agreements and joint plans.

On the sidelines of the NAM meeting, President Rouhani is to have meetings with several of the leaders who have gathered there.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is a forum of 120 developing world states that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. After the United Nations, it is the largest grouping of states worldwide.
