79th week of Great March of Return: Nearly 70 Palestinians wounded by Zionist forces

One Palestinian was killed and nearly 70 others were injured as Israeli forces attacked people attending the 79th round of the Great March of Return.

Iran Press/Middle East: Hundreds of Palestinians gathered near the fence separating the besieged Gaza Strip from the occupied territories on Friday to take part in the 79th Friday of protests in eastern Gaza with the message of 'No to Normalization of ties with the Zionist Enemy'.

The rallies took place after the Hamas resistance movement said some Arab states were rushing to normalize ties with the occupying regime.

A spokesman for Gaza’s Health Ministry said one Gazan was killed along with 69 more people who were shot and injured by Israeli forces during the latest protests.

Ashraf al-Qedra added that 26 of those wounded during the protests were shot with live bullets fired by Israeli troops.

The 'Great March of Return' demonstrations started on 30 March 2018 and it has been held every week along the Gaza border.

Since then the Israeli regime forces have shot dead more than 330 and injured 31,000 Palestinian demonstrators.
