Directors General for Consular Affairs of Iran and Switzerland

Iranian and Swiss officials have discussed ways of expanding scientific and academic cooperation, as well as cooperation in other areas.

Iran Press/ Iran News: During a meeting between Director General for Consular Affairs of the  Switzerland  Confederation and Iranian Director General for Consular Affairs Ali Asghar Mohammadi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran on Sunday, the two sides discussed bilateral consular issues, increasing visa facilitation, scientific and academic cooperation and tourism. 

Mohammadi announced the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to sign consular cooperation agreements and basic legal documents with Switzerland, Iran Press reported.

The process of digitalizing consular services in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and exchanging experience in this area were other issues discussed between the Iranian and Swiss authorities.

 Iran and Switzerland have released the text of the roadmap of Tehran-Bern long-term relations in mutual, regional, and multilateral fields that was announced during a joint statement on Sat. Feb 27, 2016, in Tehran, According to Iran embassy in Bern's official website.
