Iranian Defense Minister in a phone call to his Syrian counterpart said that Iran’s main policy is to establish sustainable peace and security in the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: During a phone call with his Syrian counterpart General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub on Thursday, the Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami emphasized further cooperation to establish peace and security in the region and Syria.

Hatami added that in the trilateral meeting between senior officials of Iran, Russia, and Turkey, held in Ankara, Turkey, all sides emphasized the national sovereignty and preserving the territorial integrity of Syria.

He also voiced Iran’s readiness to contribute to Syria’s reconstruction, hoping that the two sides could increase their cooperation in different bilateral and regional spheres.

Iranian Defense Minister further expressed his happiness about the establishment of stability in Syria, noting that the Syrian Army’s downing of the Israeli regime’s drones in Al Qunaitra and Hama Provinces indicates the development of the Arab country's defensive power.
