Kermanshah(IP)-Bisotun inscription is the largest petroglyph in the world, a historic and archaeological treasure from the Achaemenid dynasty in Kermanshah Province, in western Iran.

Iran PressIran news: The petroglyphic inscription is 20m in height and 8m in width registered as the seventh historical relic in Iran by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations(UNESCO).

Bisotun is the first recognized Iranian text, as well as the first cuneiform inscription, and has been written in Akkadian, Elamite, and Persian languages, Iran Press reported.

Bisotun inscription is located on an ancient route between Mesopotamia and Pars- today's Kermanshah of Iran- on a mountain called Bisotun. The ancient and historical place has always been of interest to foreign archaeologists.
