Yemeni Qasif 2 hits Saudi targets in Najran and Jizan: Yemeni Spox

The Yemeni armed forces spokesman said that the army and popular forces targeted Saudi regime's military bases in Najran and Jizan, southwest of Saudi Arabia, by 'Qasif 2' drone.

Iran Press/Middle East:  Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e said that the first operation targeted directly an important military base in Najran.

The second operation, he added, a garrison of the Saudi army and mercenaries in Jizan was hit, which left a number of the Saudi militants killed and wounded, Iran Press reported.

General Yahya Sare'e remarked that the Saudi regime's forces were moving toward the positions of the Yemeni army and popular forces.

"The operation was carried out as a legitimate deterrence against the brutal crimes of Saudi aggressors their blockading the great Yemeni nation," the Yemeni armed forces spokesman noted.

Backed by United States, the Saudi regime and some of its Arab allies invaded Yemen in 2015 and have enforced a strict blockade of the country by ground, air, and sea ever since.

The Saudi war has impacted over seven million children in Yemen who now face a serious threat of famine, according to UNICEF figures. Over 6,000 children have either been killed or sustained serious injuries since 2015, UN children’s agency said. The humanitarian situation in the country has also been exacerbated by outbreaks of cholera, polio, and measles. 104/215
