The spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI) has reacted to rumors of the closure of the Fordow nuclear facility, saying the facility is fully operational and is working every day.

Iran Press/Iran news: “Fordow nuclear facility has not been shut down, and Iran’s national vacuum engineering and technology center is working at the site, researching and developing advanced vacuum valves,” said Behrouz Kamalvandi.

He added: “Vacuum valves are used in the most developed and advanced nuclear industries,” Iran Press reported.

The spokesperson for the AEOI stressed that an American nuclear analyst, David Albright has acknowledged Iran’s advancement in this particular field of technology.  

He went on to say that Iran has entered the list of countries with advanced ‘Quantum Technology’ which will have a major impact on the development of communications in the future.

"Soon, Iran will be the first country in the Middle East and within the Islamic World, to test quantum entanglement technology with more than 1-meter distance," added Kamalvandi.
