Argentina designates Hezbollah as terrorist group

Argentinian authorities who have a close relationship with the US government designated Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement as a terrorist group.

Iran Press/ Middle East: Argentinian authorities on Thursday designated Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance movement a terrorist organization while the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo paid a visit to Argentina.

Argentinian government also ordered the freezing of Hezbollah assets and financial accounts related to the resistance movement.

Argentinian authorities made this decision while they were at utmost pressure of the US and Zionist regime.

La Nación, an Argentinian newspaper, reported that  President of Argentina Mauricio Macri has ordered his cabinet to blam Hezbollah for an attack which happened 25 years ago at the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires and put the movement into the terrorist group.

Years ago, Fernandez de Kirchner, former Argentinan President voiced regret that the AMIA case has been politicized, and said, "It is disgusting that the AMIA incident, which had 85 victims whose families are seeking justice, has become a political tool, because they used this issue inside and outside (Argentina) for geopolitical reasons and they are still doing so."

Addressing the people of Argentina, Kirchner reiterated that the AMIA case has become a political stage for some people who are trying to produce fake evidence to achieve their goals.

The AMIA bombing was an attack on the "Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA)" building. It occurred in Buenos Aires on 18 July 1994, killing 85 people and injuring hundreds.
