Sharif University stands second in US Aerospace competitions

Sharif University students managed to stand in the second place in US competitions of designing aerospace systems, devising a smart spacecraft capable of reaching Moon's surface.  

Iran Press/Iran news: Sharif University Aerospace Engineering Faculty team vied with thirteen teams from different countries throughout the world.

'Ariana', designed by Sharif University Aerospace Engineering Faculty team, is a smart spacecraft which is capable of a 10-time commute between a space station near Moon and its surface, IRNA reported on Monday.

The number of commutation will be doubled with the spacecraft motor module replaced.

The Iranian-designed smart spacecraft is also capable of correcting the errors created by its subsystems operators.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been ranked first in the region and 11th in the world in the field of space science and technology. 205/215
