Tehran (IP): The special envoy of the Iranian minister of foreign affairs for Afghanistan stressed the importance of adopting a common approach by different factions of the country in the peace process.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone conversation with the National Security Adviser to the President of Afghanistan Hamdullah Mohib on Tuesday, Mohammad Ebrahim Taherianfard, Special Representative of the Iranian Foreign Minister for Afghanistan,  discussed the new developments and conditions in the country.

Referring to the visit of Jean Arnault, UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Afghanistan to Tehran, Taherianfard stressed the importance of adopting a common approach by the various Afghan factions in the peace process.

Mohib also appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's stance on the Afghan peace process, stressing the rejection of solutions based on non-peaceful methods and resistance to a new wave of violence.
