Tehran (IP) - Within the week ending on July 15, 2022, the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) witnessed a trade of more than 2,1 million tonnes of commodities in a week, with a total weekly trading value of almost 459 million USD on its physical market.

Iran PressIran News: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw the trade of more than 1,7 million tonnes of commodities valued at almost 246 million USD on its metals and minerals trading floor.

On this floor, the IME sold more than one million tonnes of cement, 187,747 tonnes of steel, 41,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 2,540 tonnes of zinc, 8,775 tonnes of aluminum, and 5,423 tonnes of copper, 120 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, and 19 kg of gold bars.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 225,317 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 205 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 75,254 tonnes of polymeric products, 139,600 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 46,000 tonnes of lube cut, 31,188 tonnes of chemicals, and 1,160 tonnes of sulfur, 2,816 tonnes of base oil, 52,686 tonnes of bitumen and 200 tonnes of insulation.

The IME also traded within the same week 13,154 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
