Tehran (IP) - Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), has announced that the development of Iran's trade with neighboring countries and strategic partners, using the capacity of customs diplomacy, is on their agenda.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking on IRIB TV, Mohammad Rezvani-Far stated that customs agreements have been signed in various fields between Iran and the countries of Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Indonesia, and the Eurasian Economic Union to facilitate trade.

According to the Head of the IRICA, online document exchange, facilitation and streamlining of trade between countries, joint training courses, and exchanging knowledge and experiences are among the items agreed upon.

Rezvani-Far said: In order to use the capabilities of customs diplomacy with neighboring countries, Iranian customs will have an active presence in the ECO meeting, which will be held with the presence of the heads of 10 member customs.

Stating that China is Iran's largest trading partner in exports and second trading partner in imports, Rezvani-Far said that creating a green customs corridor between Iran and China to facilitate trade is one of their priorities.

He also mentioned that directors of border customs hold continuous meetings with their counterparts in neighboring countries to increase interaction between Iranian customs and neighboring countries' customs for facilitating trade.
