Iran Press/ America: The American student protest movement began on April 17 at Columbia University in New York; the protesting students called on the university to cut off its relations with the Israeli institutions involved in the war on Gaza.
Holding a protest gathering at the History and Geography Faculty of Sao Paolo University, the students called on the university to cut off any academic cooperation with Israeli institutions.
The students said that any kind of research and technological cooperation with the Israeli regime meant the use of academic work against the people of Palestine and Gaza.
They also signed a petition, calling on other students of the country to join the movement. The anti-Israeli sit-in was initiated by 40 student organizations that are members of the Palestinian Solidarity Committee.
