Iran Press/Iran News: Eshaq Jahangiri, Iran's first vice president, in a meeting to review how to grant a 5-year residence permit to foreign investors and depositors in Iran, which was held under his chairmanship said that the conditions for granting residency in Iran should be competitive in comparison to other neighboring countries and attractive to foreign investors.
Jahangiri called on the Interior Ministry to review the issue in the relevant committee with the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, the Central Bank and other relevant agencies, and to offer suggestions for facilitating accommodation for foreign investors.
In this meeting, a report was presented on the procedure for granting 5 years of residence to foreign depositors in Iran and the existing obstacles such as investment of $ 250,000, the impossibility of owning property, and other difficulties facing foreign nationals for applying for residency in Iran were discussed.
