IP - Iran's Acting Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the sideline of the D-8 summit in Istanbul reviews mutual relations and regional development, especially Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Iran PressIran news: Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, left Tehran for Istanbul on Friday in a bid to participate and deliver a speech in the D-8 group's extraordinary meeting on the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

After delivering a speech at the D-8 summit, Iran's Acting FM met, Turkish FM Hakan Fidan.

Bagheri Kani calling Israel the common enemy of Tehran and Ankara, said that improving ties between the two countries contributes to the stability of the region.

Iran's Acting FM said that Islamic countries should have closer consultations for providing political and legal support for Gaza.

Fidan, for his part,   praised the approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the Palestinian people and its active presence in political and regional arenas.

Iranian Acting FM, addressing the D-8 foreign ministerial meeting of the D8 countries in Istanbul on Saturday, put forward nine practical proposals that the D8 can take into consideration in support of Palestine.

Baqeri also called on the D8 to recognize the Zionist regime as an apartheid entity, focus efforts to revive the UNSC Resolution 3379, and support inclusive Palestinian negotiations for consensus among all Palestinian groups about the administration of Palestinian territories after the war.

Speaking at the opening of the Extraordinary Meeting of the D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul, Fidan said that there is no doubt those who perpetrated the massacre in Gaza will eventually be held accountable. 205
