Tel Aviv officials confirmed that at least 700 Israelis have been killed in the occupied territories since the beginning of "Operation Al-Aqsa Storm" by the Resistance fighters, a staggering toll on a scale Israel has not experienced in decades.

Iran PressWest Asia:  Several Zionist media outlets, citing officials, said at least 700 people have been killed in the occupied territories, including 44 military forces and more than 2100 others wounded 330 of whom are in severe conditions.

The Zionists were still reeling from the breadth, ferocity, and surprise of the Resistance operation.

The Zionist regime authorities were still trying to determine how many settlers and military forces were seized by Hamas fighters during the unprecedented "Operation Al-Aqsa Storm" and taken back to Gaza.

The high death toll and confused response to the operation pointed to a major intelligence failure and undermined the long-held perception that the Zionist regime has eyes and ears everywhere in the small, densely populated territory it has besieged for decades.

Even Zionist political experts mocked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's action in declaring war against Palestinians.

“The declaration of war announced by Israel’s Security Cabinet was largely symbolic,” said Yohanan Plesner, the head of the Israel Democracy Institute, a local think tank. But it “demonstrates that the government thinks we are entering a more lengthy, intense and significant period of war.”

The Zionist regime army has confirmed that a “substantial” number of military forces were captured by the Resistance fighters without giving an exact figure.

Egyptian officials said Tel Aviv sought help from Cairo to end the Resistance operation.

“Operation Al-Aqsa Storm” is in response to the 16-year blockade of Gaza, the Zionist regime occupation, and a series of recent incidents that have brought tensions in the occupied territories to a fever pitch.

Over the past year, the Zionist regime has ramped up settlement construction in the occupied West Bank with the US green light. The Zionist settlers' violence has displaced hundreds of Palestinians there, and tensions have flared around the Al-Aqsa mosque.
