Iran Press/ Asia: In a joint meeting with Pakistan's national and senate assemblies, Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi stressed the settlement of Kashmir dispute and said that Iran has always supported the oppressed people of Kashmir which is under the control of India, as well as the Indian Muslims.
The Pakistani president reiterated his country's commitment to promoting sustainable peace and stability in the region, especially in resolving disputes on the subcontinent, adding that the people of Kashmir are suffering from the occupation of Indian troops.
Elsewhere in his speech, Alavi stressed that Islamabad will never recognize the Zionist Regime, noting that Pakistan's position has always been to support the oppressed Palestinian people against this regime.
The Kashmir conflict is a territorial conflict over the Kashmir region, primarily between India and Pakistan, with China playing a third-party role. 221/207
