Taliban claimed responsibility for a bomb blast in Afghanistan's Maidan Wardak province.

Iran PressAsia: Taliban claimed responsibility for a truck bomb blast in Afghanistan's Maidan Wardak province on Monday night.

A truck bomb blast in Maidan Wardak province on Monday evening killed eight Afghan soldiers and wounded nine others.

Despite the Taliban's peace deal with the United States, various parts of Afghanistan, including Maidan Wardak, have seen an increase in terrorist attacks and explosions in recent months.

The rise of insecurity and the activities of terrorist groups in Afghanistan comes as the United States and its allies have been present in the country since 2001 under the pretext of fighting terrorism and providing security.  207/219
