Pakistan parliament speaker tests positive for Coronavirus

Tehan (IP) - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani wished good health for Parliament Speaker of Pakistan, who has contracted the Coronavirus.

Iran PressIran News: In a message to Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Ali Larijani, while wishing him good health, also expressed his condolences over the deaths of a number of Pakistanis due to the Coronavirus.

 Pakistan's National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and went into self-isolation, he confirmed in a tweet.

"I tested positive for coronavirus and quarantined myself in my house. I urge the entire nation to take preventive measures," he wrote on Twitter on Thursday after he received his test report from the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Islamabad.

Larijani also wished the Muslims and all the people of the world relief from the Coronavirus.

Pakistan currently has around 18,114 confirmed Covid-19 cases and reported 114 deaths.

The Coronavirus, which was identified late last year (2019) in Wuhan, China, has spread to all parts of the world.

The number of people infected with the Coronavirus in the world has reached more than 3.4 million, of which at least 239,000 have died and more than a million have recovered and discharged from hospitals.
