Iran Press/America: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in New York on Friday night with a delegation to participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, said that this year's session is taking place at a critical time for West Asia.
He emphasized that the region is experiencing daily increases in tension and highlighted the terrorist and criminal actions of Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Araghchi expressed concern about the dangerous situation in the region and warned that Israel is seeking to expand the war.
Iran's top diplomat added, "In this situation, it is natural that the most important topic in our meetings in New York is the increase in tension and the criminal actions of the Zionist regime, which the international community must deal with."
"The Zionist regime is trying to put the region in a dangerous situation. This poses a significant threat to the entire international community, as the tension in the region has the potential to spread to other regions," Iran's top diplomat noted.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: In my opinion, the Zionist regime is trapped in the Gaza swamp and has no way out, and after a year of war and merciless killing of the people of Gaza, it has not achieved any of its goals, and this regime will do anything to preserve and save itself. A crime is committed.
Iran's foreign minister emphasized that the Israeli regime will not achieve its goals of increasing tension and war, but will receive an answer for its crimes.
Araghchi continued, "Regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Lebanon, it is natural that Hezbollah will make its own decisions and will show appropriate reactions. The assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of the Hamas movement, in Tehran will not go unanswered."
Araghchi also stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran's policy is to always confront the unilateralism of the United States and Western countries as they persist in their past colonial policies in a new form."
